David Jaymes (born 28 November 1954, London) - bass; Robbie Jaymes (born 3 October 1961, London) - keyboards; Paul Gendler (born 11 August 1960, London) - guitar; Tony Gainsbrough (1980 - 1981) - drums (played on "Modern Romance", "Tonight" and Everybody Salsa")
Jaymes formed the band Modern Romance with Geoff Deane (lead vocals) and Tony Gainsborough (drums) of The Leyton Buzzards, his brother Robbie Jaymes (keyboards), and Paul Gendler (guitars). Later members included Michael J. Mullins (lead vocals), Andy Kyriacou (drums) and John Du Prez (trumpets).
It was Geoffrey Deane (b.1954) and David Jaymes (b.1954) that continued to work together after the group split in 1980, recruiting brother Robbie Jaymes (b.1961), Paul Gendler (b.1960), Trevor Jones (b.1946) and Tony Gainsborough (b.1957) into the line up.
