24 de jun. de 2019 · Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary – by blessing of His Holiness and Beatitude Catholicos – Patriarch of all Georgia Eprem II. Pastoral courses were founded in the town of Mtskheta on October 14, 1963 that were transformed into Theological Seminary in 1965.
On the first stage of the higher education at Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary (Baccalaureate), six programmes are employed: Theology, Christian Art Theory and History, Christian Psychology, Iconography, Restoration of Easel and Monumental Iconography and Ecclesiastical Architecture.

In Georgia, theological education starts from the 4 th century. Churches and monasteries represented outstanding centers of enlightenment, as well. In the Middle Ages, particularly well-known were the cradles of education functioning in Tao-Klarjeti, Gelati, Iqalto, Gremi and Shiomghvime.
