Stuart Alan King, aka "Stu Boy King", lost his battle to pancreatic cancer on May 1, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Deirdre King, his daughters Danielle, Jessica, Tyler, Melanie, and Shannon, as well as his grandson; whom he he loved so dearly; William, aka "Bubby".

Stu Boy King was the original drummer in The Dictators, when they formed in 1974. Immediately after the release of the band's debut album "The Dictators Go Girl Crazy!", King took a hike and various troubles beset the band, resulting in a two-year delay before a follow-up was issued on another label.
