  2. 30 de jan. de 2007 · First thing, first. Shane Macgowan is not on this album. Do not purchase this if you want Shane singing. That being said this is still a wonderfull album. I am not a big "Live" fan but the live CD is superb. The sound quality is top notch and the band is completely tight.

  3. As well as backing MacGowan both live and on his solo albums, the McGuinness–McManamon incarnation of The Popes recorded a few singles and one studio album, Holloway Boulevard, released in March 2000. A live album, Release The Beast (Live in London 2003), followed in 2004.

  7. Following Shane MacGowan's ignominious sacking from The Pogues he looked towards members of the band's crew to form the basis of his next venture. The result was The Popes whose musical blueprint was so similar to that of his previous outfit they could have commissioned an advertising campaign with a banner headline proclaiming “Business As Usual”.
