Los Alamos High School (LAHS) is the public high school in Los Alamos, New Mexico, USA. The school opened in 1946, and was originally supported by the Atomic Energy Commission. It has been academically recognized by Newsweek, U.S. News & World Report, and the New Mexico Public Education Department.
Los Alamos High School is located on the Pajarito Plateau in the Jemez Mountains of Northern New Mexico, 35 miles from the sate capital of Santa Fe. LAHS is proudly accredited by Cognia and meets all requirements and standards established by the State of New Mexico.

Overview of LAPS. Los Alamos Public Schools offers a well-rounded learning opportunity for students in PreK through 12th grade with a 97% graduation rate. The district serves 3,700 students, including 170 students from 33 different countries and pueblos speaking 25 different languages.
