John Grubham Howe (1657–1722), commonly known as Jack Howe, was an English politician. Elected on numerous occasions as Member of Parliament, he made the transition from the Whig to the Tory faction.
John Grobham Howe (1625–1679) of Langar Hall, Nottinghamshire, was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons between 1659 and 1679. Howe was the younger son of Sir John Howe, 1st Baronet, and his wife Bridget Rich, daughter of Thomas Rich of North Cerney.

Biography. ‘Jack’ Howe reached the peak of his political fame in the later years of William III’s reign as one of the government’s most inveterate opponents. His capacity for ‘boldness’ in debate knew almost no bounds, and not infrequently his ‘indecent reflections’ on the King caused shock and dismay.
Howe was responsible for bringing to the notice of the House on 25 Oct. 1675 the challenge to William Cavendish, Lord Cavendish. His last important committees were in the same session, those to prevent the growth of Popery and to secure the liberty of the subject.
