Joseph "Joe" Satriani (Westbury (Nova Iorque), 15 de julho de 1956), é um guitarrista e compositor estadunidense de rock instrumental, considerado virtuoso em seu instrumento. [1] Em novembro de 2015, Satriani foi contemplado com o prêmio “The Maestro” durante o 11ª Annual Classic Rock Roll of Honour Award. [2]

The JSX began life as a prototype Peavey XXX and developed into the Joe Satriani signature Peavey model. However, Satriani still used distortion pedals with the clean channel rather than the built-in overdrive channels.
