The University of Portland ( UP) is a private Catholic university in Portland, Oregon, United States. It was founded in 1901 and is affiliated with the Congregation of Holy Cross, which also founded UP's sister school, the University of Notre Dame. UP enrolls approximately 3,730 students.

Situated on The Bluff, University of Portland is nestled in a safe, residential neighborhood, overlooking the Willamette River and downtown Portland. In fact, many UP students, faculty, and staff live just off campus and are an integral part of the greater UP community.
At the University of Portland School of Education, we prepare teachers and school leaders to educate the whole person in the tradition of the Holy Cross, which began two centuries ago. As the premier program in the Portland metropolitan area, we partner with over 100 schools and 18 school systems.
