HIGHLIGHT 11 January 2023. Along with the pandemic came a dramatic increase in the purchases and sales of upstate New York properties. Our banking department rapidly began to receive upstate closing files and quickly began to learn the defining differences between upstate and downstate (NYC and surrounding counties) real estate closings.
Counties contiguous to the NYS downstate rate region include: Sussex, Passaic, Bergin, Hudson, Essex, Middlesex, Union and Monmouth Counties in New Jersey; Pike County in Pennsylvania; and Litchfield and Fairfield Counties in Connecticut. All other out of state providers will receive the NYS upstate rate. APG Rates for Out of State Providers
