Artists were drawn to Trident Studios, at 17 St. Anne's Court in Soho, because of its relaxed vibe and the ability to be creative while surrounded by the latest technology of the time. Trident Studios were among the first in the UK to use Dolby noise reduction and employ an eight track reel to reel recording deck.
10 de fev. de 2022 · After Eight. The studio hit the ground running when Manfred Mann recorded 'My Name Is Jack' at Trident and it went straight to No 1. But its major draw was the 8-track reel-to-reel which arrived a couple of months after opening. It was one of only three in the world – one was at Atlantic Studios in New York, another at Ampex HQ in California.

Trident Studios was originally started in 1967 by Norman and Barry Sheffield as the in house studio for the Centredisc label. Following the first major hit to come out of the studio, “My Name is Jack” by Manfred Mann, Trident Studios would establish itself as one of the few top studios in the world.
