When Stan finally tells him that the family would be better off without him, Roger feels sick and falls down, seemingly dead. Stan thinks he's just being a drama queen, and tells everybody to ignore him and go to bed. Roger Smith is the deuteragonist of the American Dad! franchise. He is an alien who lives in the Smith family's attic. Stan feels he "owes Roger his life" after being saved by the alien at Area 51 four years prior to the show beginning, until in the episode "You Debt Your Life" when Stan saves Roger's life.
