The Dude network monitor is an application by MikroTik which can dramatically improve how you manage your network environment. It will automatically scan all devices within specified subnets, draw and layout a map of your networks, monitor your devices' services, and alert you of any service issues.
If you are already running RouterOS, upgrading to the latest version can be done by clicking on "Check For Updates" in QuickSet or System > Packages menu in WebFig or WinBox. See the documentation for more information about upgrading and release types. To manage your router, use the web interface, or download the maintenance utilities.

It will automatically scan all devices within specified subnets, draw and layout a map of your networks, monitor services of your devices and execute actions based on device state changes.
We monitor 500+ devices with it. The dude is great especially if you need to map a network quickly and get a red/green status on it's devices. It can do router os and SNMP monitoring and mapping very easily. It doesn't scale well though and no proxies. just like anything you have to use it within it's limits.
