Ma vie en rose est un film sur la différence. Le film parle d’un petit garçon, Ludovic, qui pense être une petite fille. Ce qui est normal pour lui ne l’est pas forcément pour les autres ; il y a des choses qu’on fait et d’autres qu’on ne fait pas, même si elles nous semblent naturelles.

The greatest memory I have of Ma Vie en Rose was back in my college days when a professor brought up the subject of having seen it. I don't remember exactly why she mentioned it but every time I remember that anecdote this film comes back to my mind, and for that reason, I decided to watch it a second time because I wanted to refresh my memory of it.
A lthough it does have has a serious side to it, Ma vie en rose is first and foremost a spell-binding and hugely entertaining satirical comedy. It is a captivating study of a young boy's inability to turn from his own natural inclination and conform to society's narrow definition of normality - think of it as a francophone version of Billy ...
