Visit College (undergrad) Prospective undergraduate students are welcome to visit Churchill informally, most days (including weekends), between 09:00 and 17:00. Note that College is routinely closed to visitors each year from Easter Sunday through to the middle of June, during our “Quiet Period” surrounding exams.
Churchill offers entry to all Cambridge undergraduate degrees, except Land Economy and Theology, Religion, and Philosophy of Religion. We’re often asked how many students apply and are admitted to Churchill each year, both by course and to the College overall. Churchill is unusual amongst Cambridge Colleges, in that 70% of our students study courses within sciences, technologies, engineering, and maths. However, because we’re such a large College overall, students in the arts, humanities, and social sciences are as numerous here as they are in many other Cambridge Colleges.

Churchill College’s expansive campus nestles beside the West Cambridge Campus, a 15 minute walk from the city centre, or 5 minutes by bicycle. It is well-served by various bus routes which stop at the end of Storey’s Way on Magdalene Road.
Churchill College, Cambridge was established in 1959 as a national memorial to Sir Winston Churchill. As a completely new college, focused on scientific and technological subjects, the founding trustees decided that the architectural design should be decided by competition.
