William Wordsworth died on April 23rd, 1850, at his home in Rydal Mount from complications associated with pleurisy. His poem, ‘ The Prelude,’ was published posthumously by his wife. Con Samuel Taylor Coleridge , contribuyó al inicio de la época romántica en la literatura inglesa con su publicación conjunta de Baladas líricas en 1798.
