27 de fev. de 2020 · F. R. Leavis (1895–1978) was an English literary critic and university teacher and a major figure on the English-speaking cultural landscape during the middle decades of the twentieth century. He was particularly associated with the rise of Cambridge ‘English’.
If I have any significant bit of literary history to contribute on F. R. Leavis it will mainly concern the four years 1971-4, when I was lecturing in this college and, in his later seventies, Leavis was very productive of some of his most important work.
