Francesco Scavullo. (1921-2004), Photographer. Artist of 5 portraits. A career over five decades made Scavullo's name synonymous with fashion and beauty. Born in New York, he became interested in photography as a child. As a teen he began taking photographs of his sister and her friends.

By the 60’s, he had pretty much settled on the Hasselblad 500 (C), and used that camera for most of his career. That and one strobe. In fact, many people attribute the whole ‘diffused’ light craze to Scavullo, that continues to this day.
