Oliver Mowat. Sir Oliver Mowat, GCMG, PC, QC (* 22. Juli 1820 in Kingston, Oberkanada; † 19. April 1903 in Toronto) war ein kanadischer Politiker. Er gehört zu den Mitbegründern der Liberalen Partei Kanadas. Als einer der Väter der Konföderation gehört er zu den Wegbereitern des 1867 gegründeten kanadischen Bundesstaates.

Oliver Mowat, one of Canada's Fathers of Confederation, was born on the July 22, 1820 at Kingston, Ontario, a community then regarded as the most important town in Upper Canada. He served his province and his country in many important roles before his death on the April 19, 1903 at Government House after some six years as Lieutenant-Governor of the province of Ontario.
