Em 26 de março de 1995 – um mês após o diagnóstico inicial – Eazy-E faleceu aproximadamente às 18h35 (horário de Brasília). Ao elogiar Wright, o reverendo Cecil Murray instou os participantes da Primeira Igreja Episcopal Metodista Africana a se regozijarem na vida de Wright, e aprender lições da maneira como ele morreu.
