19 de jul. de 2019 · A Faithful Man is an absurdly complicated, bizarre and comical love triangle that showcase the fickleness of love and desire. The film is only 75 minutes long but there’s so many twist, turns and mysteries packed in, you’ll hardly realize the film is so short.
Garrel exercised good judgement in co-authoring his film with a more experienced writer, the incredibly prolific man of letters Jean-Claude Carrière. The latter not only collaborated with Garrel's father on L'Ombre des femmes (2015); he also scripted some of French cinema's enduring classics, including several for Luis Buñuel: Belle de jour (1967) and Le Charme discret de la bourgeoisie (1972).
A Faithful Man está disponível na Netflix Brasil. Marianne deixa Abel por Paul, seu melhor amigo e pai de seu futuro filho. Oito anos depois, Paul morre.
