Psycho Granny took notes from The Stepfather (1987/2009) and modernize it with a Lifetime movie touch. So I get the story was pretty basic for a thriller but come on now. This was a 2019 movie. You think Samantha would get a DNA test to make sure she IS who she say she is. I guess they fixed that later in the movie but this would've been useful.
