War of the Gargantuas (フランケンシュタインの怪獣 サンダ対ガイラ, Furankenshutain no Kaijū: Sanda tai Gaira?, lit. Frankenstein's Monsters: Sanda Against Gaira) is a 1966 tokusatsu kaiju film produced by Toho Company Ltd. and a loose sequel to Frankenstein Conquers the World.
This film first came out in the 70's early when there was still b&w television. These were featured in theaters during summer for the price of $ 1.50 which came with a cartoon and another movie and pop corn was the same price. Great, just great. A favored sib vs not so favored sib . Love vs jealousy. All these Japanese movies are really great.

23 de jun. de 2016 · War of the Gargantuas sits on the line between a horror film meant to frighten audiences and the typical giant monster flicks of the ‘60s, which were more about sci-fi action than scares. In my opinion, this is one of the things that makes War of the Gargantuas so memorable; one of Honda’s strongest offerings.

As was the case with many of the 1960s Japanese monster films, an American name star – Russ Tamblyn who was then seen as a minor matinee idol – was imported to sell the film internationally. War of the Gargantuas is a fairly typical Japanese monster movie of the era.
