These were featured in theaters during summer for the price of $ 1.50 which came with a cartoon and another movie and pop corn was the same price. Great, just great. A favored sib vs not so favored sib . Love vs jealousy. All these Japanese movies are really great.

In my opinion, this is one of the things that makes War of the Gargantuas so memorable; one of Honda’s strongest offerings.

As was the case with many of the 1960s Japanese monster films, an American name star – Russ Tamblyn who was then seen as a minor matinee idol – was imported to sell the film internationally. War of the Gargantuas is a fairly typical Japanese monster movie of the era.
