John Richard Schlesinger (Londres, 16 de febrero de 1926-Los Ángeles, 25 de julio de 2003) fue un director de cine británico. Tras la Segunda Guerra Mundial inició estudios de dirección cinematográfica e interpretó pequeños papeles en el cine ( Oh, Rosalinda y La batalla del Río de la Plata ), hasta que realizó el cortometraje Sunday in the Park en 1957.
