Sir Aston Webb (1849–1930) Architect born in Clapham (then Surrey), the son of Edward Webb, a watercolourist and steel engraver. Webb was articled to Banks and Barry, 1866–71. Before setting up in independent practice in 1873, he won the Royal Institute of British Architect’s Pugin studentship which financed his travel to Europe and Asia.
Aston Webb House is a Grade II listed building of historical note located in London. It is the converted General Office of Boord & Son's Distillery, which was built between 1899 and 1901 and designed by Aston Webb , [2] an English architect who designed the principal facade of Buckingham Palace and the main building of the Victoria and Albert Museum .
