11 de jan. de 2024 · Count Philipp Ludwig II of Hanau-Münzenberg was born in the castle at Hanau and baptised two weeks later on 3 December. His parents were Count Philipp Ludwig I of Hanau-Münzenberg (1553–1580) and Countess Magdalena of Waldeck (1558–1599).
Death. Philipp II, Count of Hanau-Münzenberg died on Easter Sunday of 1529, only 28 years old, leaving three surviving children and a pregnant widow. Philipp Ludwig I. (Hanau-Münzenberg) Zeichnung des im Zweiten Weltkrieg zerstörten Grabdenkmals des Grafen Philipp Ludwig I. von Hanau-Münzenberg von Karl Gruber. Philipp Ludwig I. (* 21. November 1553; † 4. Februar 1580) folgte seinem Vater in der Regierung der Grafschaft Hanau-Münzenberg im Jahr 1561.
Guardianships in Hanau-Münzenberg. Count Philipp Ludwig I was still a minor when he inherited Hanau-Münzenberg in 1561. Philipp IV took up the guardianship, together with Count John VI of Nassau-Dillenburg. When Philipp Ludwig I died in 1580, they again acted as guardian for his minor sons Philipp Ludwig II and Albrecht of Hanau-Münzenberg.
Ehrengard of Isenburg-Büdingen. Johann Ernst of Hanau-Münzenberg-Schwarzenfels (13 June 1613 in Schwarzenfels – 12 January 1642 in Hanau ), was the last Count of the Hanau-Münzenberg line. He succeeded his grand-nephew Philipp Ludwig III in 1641. When Johann Ernst died in 1642, Hanau-Münzenberg fell to the Hanau-Lichtenberg line.
