It's early Johhny Rawls, and L.C. Luckett, with a raw soul that will blow your socks (or other items of clothing) off. :) Luckett's and Rawls' voices blend just right on these cuts, and their solos make you close your eyes to listen (not a good thing if you're driving!) Johnny Rawls (born September 10, 1951) is an American soul blues singer, guitarist, arranger, songwriter, and record producer. He was influenced by the deep soul and gospel music of the 1960s, as performed by O. V. Wright , James Carr , and Z. Z. Hill , although his styling, production and lyrics are more contemporary in nature.
In this passage John Rawls says that shared adherence to any comprehensive political philosophy, even a liberal one, will require state oppression on the order of the Inquisition. It may give philosophers pause. In a free society, Rawls claims, citizens will come to have quite divergent world views.
