The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band was een Amerikaanse psychedelische rockband, opgericht in 1965 in Los Angeles, Californië. De band creëerde muziek met een griezelige en soms sinistere sfeer en bevatte materiaal dat ronduit politiek, kinderlijk en bizar was.
Animados por Fowley, Markley, Shaun Harris, Danny Harry y Michael Lloyd comienzan a trabajar juntos, luego se les une el baterista John Ware formando así The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band. Robert H. Markley (August 29, 1935 – September 9, 2003) was an American singer-songwriter and record producer who co-founded the psychedelic rock band The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band, in the late 1960s, and became one of the most controversial figures that emerged from the era.
The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band under a different name, "Markley, A Group" is a fantastic album. Like "Where's My Daddy?" before it, this is more pop-rock than their three Reprise LPs, but also more put-together and better produced than their last album; the remix of Outside/Inside is a perfect example.
Where's My Daddy? is the fifth album by the American psychedelic rock group, the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band, and was released in 1969 on Amos Records, which was owned by Jimmy Bowen. Amos Records signed them after Reprise Records dropped the band from their label following the commercial failure of their first three albums. [1]
