The Centenary Hall and the adjoining Sir David K.P. Li Music School represent the most ambitious building project in Benenden’s history. 11 de jan. de 2021 · Benenden School has announced that it will be opening its first schools overseas as part of a commitment to increase the number of pupils who are able to attend Benenden on significant bursaries. The School has partnered with Hong Kong-based CTF Education Group (CTFEG) to open a series of schools in China, with the first of these due to open in South China in 2023.
The site on which the School stands is of great historical interest as both the parkland and woodland are mentioned in the Domesday Book: “Robert of Romney also holds Benenden [Benendine] from the Bishop of Bayeux”. Benenden had become sufficiently permanent by 1086 to have both a name and a church. Benenden became a Charitable Foundation.
