Welcome to our BB&N website—we hope these pages give you a little taste of what life is like here at our amazing school. When I joined the BB&N community a few years ago, I remember vividly my first few days on our three campuses in Cambridge.

We acknowledge that the Buckingham Browne & Nichols school is on the ancestral, unceded territory of the Massachusett people.In spite of the theft of their lands and the killings of their ancestors by Western settlers, the Massachusett people, descendants of the Great Sac’hem Chickataubut’s Band of Massachusett at Neponset, have survived and thrived.
Where Competition Meets Teamwork. Grades 6-8 Athletics. Students in grades 6–8 are taught to work together to achieve common goals. They form bonds, gain confidence, and discover purpose.
The Upper School athletics program is an integral part of the BB&N experience. BB&N provides nearly 20 sports in which students can participate and excel. The program fosters physical fitness, sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth in a competitive yet supportive environment.
