  1. Biografia. Abraham Lincoln nasceu em Hardin County, Kentucky, em 12 de fevereiro de 1809, numa família de colonos. Seu pai, Thomas Lincoln, perdeu tudo e mudou com a família para Indiana quando Lincoln tinha nove anos. Como a família era muito pobre foi praticamente um autodidata e pegava livros emprestados para complementar a aprendizagem.
