31 de jan. de 2022 · Sydney Theatre Company has chosen Ian Michael as its 2022 Richard Wherrett Fellow. The Fellowship, which is named after the STC’s founding Artistic Director Richard Wherrett, offers an emerging theatre director the opportunity to gain experience and mentorship over the course of a year while employed by STC.

It was after his father had come home yet again in a drunken, hell-bound stupor and given his wife, Wherrett's mother, another thrashing.

Richard Wherrett was born in 1941 in Australia. He was a director, known for The Girl Who Met Simone de Beauvoir in Paris (1980), Billy's Holiday (1995) and Jesus Christ Superstar (1992). He died on 7 December 2001 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
