Baltimore School for the Arts Dance program features a rigorous, physically demanding program in both ballet and modern technique.
We were founded as part of Baltimore City Public School System in 1979, after a decade of hard work by a task force, the mayor, and Baltimore City’s arts and community leaders. We were established to provide pre-professional arts training to Baltimore’s children, and given a unique structure designed to help us meet our mission.
