The album contains strong soft pop/rock tracks. As I've starting spinning Carpenters recently, I'm always impressed by the artistry Richard Carpenter on the arrangements and instrumentation. Karen had the voice, not the greatest pop/rock voice but a strong one; but it's the music with which Richard surrounds her that makes the set pop.

26 de jan. de 2007 · I had the original CD releases of the Carpenters, then sold them when the remastered versions was released. Boy, to my surprise, the remastered versions were sonic-ally awful, no depth, three dimension sound stage, and Karen's voice was in echo, on every CD, seemingly the same as if they just used the same Technic, even if the original did not have echo (reverb) in it.
