  3. Queen’s University Belfast was founded by Royal Charter in 1845. Founded by Queen Victoria, the Queen's University in Ireland, was designed to be a non-denominational alternative to Trinity College Dublin which was controlled by the Anglican Church. The University was made up of three Queen's Colleges - in Cork, Galway and Belfast.

  5. Most students make their applications through UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service) for full-time undergraduate degree programmes at Queen’s. The UCAS application deadline for international students is 30 June 2024, except for those applying for Medicine and Dentistry who should apply by 16 October 2023.
