Sir Bulstrode Whitelocke. 1605 - 1675 Admitted 1619 Called 1626. Lawyer, writer, Parliamentarian, Lord Keeper of the Great Seal of England during the Commonwealth. Bulstrode Whitelocke was born in 1605 and was admitted to the Middle Temple in 1619. He was Called in 1626, serving as Treasurer shortly afterwards in 1628.

Sept 2019. Middle Temple Hall is a spectacular Elizabethan building with a magnificent double hammer-beam roof. It is the sort of place one would expect to be open to members only. Food is buffet-style but with a very wide selection, all of excellent quality. Wine is available at reasonable prices and brought to the table by the very helpful staff.
