Ark Putney Academy (formerly Elliott School) is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in the Putney Heath area of the London Borough of Wandsworth, England. History. It was first established as Southfields School in 1904 on Merton Road, Southfields.
Second School Librarian at Putney Elliott. Started during 1958. Her predecessor was possible a Mrs Lynn. Dorothy Reace : Dorothy ran the Staff Room, Staff Functions, Catered for School Play Refreshments and Parents Evenings. She was a prime mover in the Parent Teacher Association, having three daughters and a son attending the school.'
The following group of images are from the Thirty Years of the Elliott School in Putney Reunion, in 1986. This was the idea of Marjorie Dean, her sister, 'Chalky' White and Garth Gibson, aided from within the School by Barbara Scarrott, Freda Mizen and Dorothy Reace. People's Recollections. People's Recollections Back to Main Index. Hazel Stocker 1951 - 1956. I attended the Southfields Elliott from 1951 to 1956 Amongst the teachers I recall Miss. Beacon an excellent biology teacher. She made brooches out of a fish bone, and coloured them, very clever.
