It was such great experience! The tour around the grounds of Trinity was amazing, our guide was a 3rd Yr student of Trinity, who was so witty, funny, knowledgeable and passionate – it was an absolute pleasure to listen to him. The Book of Kells itself and the Old Library were not guided but breathtaking all the same.

The New Library. The instability and turmoil created in Ireland by the Jacobite war left its mark on Trinity College: income – in the form of rents from the College estates – dried up, and by March 1689 most of the Fellows had fled to England.
Researchers. The Wren Library houses one of the world’s greatest collections of medieval manuscripts and early printed books, alongside the College’s own archival material and extensive holdings of modern manuscripts.
