  1. Henry Thomas Petty-Fitzmaurice, 4th Marquess of Lansdowne KG (7 January 1816 – 5 July 1866), styled Lord Henry Petty-FitzMaurice until 1836 and Earl of Shelburne between 1836 and 1863, was a British politician.

  2. Henry Thomas Petty-Fitzmaurice, 4 th Marquess of Lansdowne (1816-1866). Henry was the second son of the 3 rd Marquess. He succeeded to the title after the death of his elder brother the Earl of Kerry in 1836.

  3. He died childless in 1809 and was succeeded by his half-brother, the third Marquess, the son of their father’s second marriage, to Lady Louisa FitzPatrick. Known as Lord Henry Petty from 1784 to 1809, he was one of the most influential Whig politicians of the first half of the 19th century.
