George Keppel was a successful military officer, who became third Earl of Albemarle in 1754. The caption on this print refers to his role as commander-in-chief of the land forces at the capture of Havana in 1762, where he served alongside his younger brothers Augustus, second-in-command of the naval forces, and William, a major-general in the army.
