23 de jul. de 2023 · Joe Skipper produced a fine performance to claim victory at IRONMAN Lake Placid on Sunday while Alice Alberts grabbed a first ever pro podium and a first ever pro win. The British star took control of the men’s race on the bike and was then too strong for home favourites Ben Hoffman and Matt Hanson as he held on in style on the run by completing his day with a 2:45:17 marathon.
3 de ago. de 2021 · Lake Placid has a gnarly bike and run course so I wanted to save every match that I had. On the first hill out of town, I saw a bigger guy on a nice bike absolutely grinding at a low cadence. He told me that his electronic shifting had run out of battery and he was stuck in one of his hardest gears at mile 3 of 112 on a course with 7K feet of elevation gain.

Patrick’s personal best is a 9:54; he has held a training camp on the course every year since 2002, and he’s attended almost every edition of the race.
