It's the pity vote. 50/50 means when you hit the pity vote there is a 50% chance you will get the event banner character (example Hu Tao) and a 50% chance you will instead get the regular permanent 5 stars (example diluc, mona, qiqi, kequing, or Jean).

20 de jul. de 2021 · Genshin Impact's 50/50 Banner Character Pity System Yo u have a 50 percent chance of pulling a banner character, every time you pull a four or five-star on a limited-time banner. However, if you fail the 50/50 - by pulling a none-banner character on the limited-time banner - then your next pity pull for that level of character is guaranteed to be one of those on the banner.
The first 50/50 I won was Xiao and my mindset was "I need a shield character and all 3 4* have shields so I am pulling." then I got him 50 rolls in. The second one was with Venti and I was aiming for at least 1 Sucrose and Razor constellations.
