Agnes Moorehead Agnes Robertson Moorehead was an American actress. Although she began with the Mercury Theatre, appeared in more than seventy films beginning with Citizen Kane and on dozens of television shows during a career that spanned more than thirty years, Moorehead is most widely known to modern audiences for her role as the witch Endora in the series Bewitched.
The beloved actress died in April 1974, at the age of 73. Agnes Moorehead was born as Agnes Robertson Moorehead on December 6, 1900 in Clinton, Massachusetts, to former singer Mildred and her husband, John Henderson Moorehead.
