Place tomatoes in hot oil in batches of 4 or 5, to prevent them from touching; fry until crisp and golden brown on one side, then flip and fry on other side. Transfer fried tomatoes to a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Repeat with remaining tomatoes.

25 de jun. de 2017 · Slice tomatoes into 1/4- 1/2 inch slices. Place tomatoes on several layers of paper towels. Mix together salt, sugar, black pepper & basil in a small bowl. Sprinkle tomatoes generously with spice mixture ( may not need all of it) and let sit for about 10-15 minutes to allow the extra tomato juices to drain out.
