Bounded by Redick and Kansas Avenues on the north and south and 24th and 30th Streets on the east and west, respectively, the park was added to the city of Omaha in 1891.
In 1984 Miller Park's "pioneer classroom", a replica of a one room schoolhouse, was featured by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The school is also credited for creating the original Junior Forest Club concept. Today Miller Park participates in the U.S. Department of Education's Reading First program.

Rocky and Berenice Miller Park is a baseball stadium in Evanston, Illinois. It is the home field of the Northwestern Wildcats college baseball team.
