Bebe Moore Campbell died from brain cancer, aged 56, on November 27, 2006, and was interred at Inglewood Park Cemetery, Inglewood, California. Campbell's personal archives are housed in the Bebe Moore Campbell collection at the University of Pittsburgh Archives Service Center.
She was buried next to her daughter at Inglewood Park Cemetery in Inglewood, California, wearing her sheriff's shield. See also.
