In "A World Made Safe for Democracy" John Ikenberry articulates a very clear thesis which makes it an easier read than some might ascribe to an "academic" book. Even though he explores many different areas as he should with such a topic, Ikenberry never strays away from his principles of multilateralism, open economies, modernity and self determination.
