Geach wurde 1916 in London geboren. Seine Mutter war eine Tochter polnischer Emigranten. Sein Vater hatte bei Russell, Moore und McTaggart studiert und wurde Philosophieprofessor; er erteilte Geach in jungen Jahren die ersten Logik-Lektionen und zog ihn in die Philosophie, indem er ihm McTaggarts Some Dogmas of Religion zur Lektüre aufgab.
Peter Thomas Geach (Londen, 29 maart 1916 - 21 december 2013) was een Brits filosoof. Zijn interesse lag vooral in de geschiedfilosofie , filosofische logica en identiteit . In 1965 werd hij Fellow van de British Academy en hij kreeg ook pauselijke onderscheiding " Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice " voor zijn filosofisch werk.
In 1934 Peter Geach entered Balliol College, Oxford, and for the first time found himself in congenial company of his own age. His father would have preferred him to go to Cambridge, which he rightly saw as philo-sophically far superior to Oxford; but the financial advantages of the scholarship Balliol offered tipped the balance.
