Lady May Helen Emma Abel Smith (1906-1994) was a British royal family descendant, a great-granddaughter of Queen Victoria and a niece of Queen Mary. She was married to Sir Henry Abel Smith, a member of the Smith family, for over 60 years and lived in Brisbane while her husband served as the governor of Queensland.
My Story. Born in 1991, Edward Abel Smith grew up in Hertfordshire, England, before moving to Oxford to study Sociology & Anthropology at Oxford Brookes University. Edward's interest in Kindertransport led him to write his first book, Active Goodness, which he independently published through Kwill Publishing in 2017.
