Synopsis. Gaira, a humanoid sea beast spawned from the discarded cells of Frankenstein's monster, attacks the shores of Tokyo. While the Japanese military prepares to take action, Gaira's Gargantua brother, Sanda, descends from the mountains to defend his kin. A battle between good and evil ensues, leaving brothers divided and a city in ruins.

24 de jul. de 2021 · This is Toho's international dub of War of the Gargantuas. I believe Janus Films currently has the rights to this version, but has only made it available for streaming. This version is unique in that it's the Japanese cut of the film — references to Frankenstein are intact — and Russ Tamblyn's voice is dubbed over with a different English speaking actor.
The title was changed to The War of the Gargantuas. Funny though, in an additional scene in the US version - the only direct allusion to the first movie is contained. This is when Professor Stewart mentioned a mysterious hand he once examined, and probably refers to Frankenstein's severed hand from the original movie.
