It marked the first time in Raines’ career that he had four hits and four RBIs in the same game. It was also the second extra-inning grand slam in franchise history, the first since Dave Cash hit one to beat the Cardinals in 1979.

That would signal the end of his playing days, but in a career filled with comebacks, it wasn't the end of Raines' time with the sport. After coaching in the Minors, Raines would get to suit up with his son one more time.

Montreal Expos great Tim Raines was elected into the National Baseball of Fame in Cooperstown Wednesday on his 10th try along with Jeff Bagwell and Ivan Rodriquez. Raines’ teammates like Warren Cromartie and Andre Dawson will attend induction weekend July 28-31 in Cooperstown, NY.
